I am a New York State Professional certified teacher for grades 5-12, with a concentration in Social Studies, History, and Reading & Writing skills. I also teach Critical Inquiry courses at the college level. I have eight years of teaching experience, with four years of virtual and in person one-on-one teaching and tutoring experience. I hold a Masters of Arts in Education, and a Master of Arts in Creative Media. 

My approach is to help students develop and hone lifelong learning skills that will apply to all areas of their life. Being able to process information, ask and answer critical questions, and communicate effectively are skills that are not only central to history and language arts courses, but to all aspects of academic, professional, and personal endeavors. I value positive reinforcement and a strong rapport with students, tailoring my teaching methods to fit each learner's unique individual needs.
